The Colorado Water Conservation Board, CWCB, is a board consisting of knowledgeable citizens from each of the eight major drainage basins in Colorado, the City and County of Denver and the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources which manages the funding of Colorado water projects. Members are appointed by the Governor of Colorado and confirmed by the state Senate. There are five non-voting members, the Director of the CWCB, the State Engineer, the Attorney General, the Director of the Division of Wildlife, and the Commissioner of Agriculture, who inform and advise the other board members on water issues as they relate to or impact their agencies.
