The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a large water district in southern Colorado which supplies domestic water to urban areas in 6 counties. It was initially created to construct the Colorado River Aqueduct from the Colorado River to urban areas in southern California.
The Western Municipal Water District, a water district serving western Riverside county is one of the member agencies of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
