WEDC or the Water, Engineering and Development Centre at Loughborough University, "People-centered solutions for sustainable development since 1971" is a resource center and postgraduate educational program. In their own words:

WEDC is one of the world's leading education, training, research and consultancy institutes concerned with improving access to infrastructure services for the poor in low- and middle-income countries. We focus on people-centred solutions for the sustainable development of both urban and rural communities and encourage the integration of technical, environmental, social, economic and management activities.

WEDC was founded in 1971 and is is part of the Department of Civil and Building Engineering at Loughborough University.
